Swagbucks! another great way to earn money

site link

I have been doing swagbucks for almost two years now, and I really like how easy it is to use.  I use the toolbar for all my searches.    I just cashed out for $10 in amazon giftcards (daily limit) and still have enough points for another $25.

Sign up by clicking on the widget and immediately begin to earn points!

Opinion Outpost-Survey opportunities!

Great way to make a little extra cash, doing Survey's!!

Opinion Outpost   Each survey is worth so many points.  (say survey says 20 points, that is $2).   I get survey opportunities about every day now.   I have $9.30 in my account right now.  The think I like about Opinion Outpost is you can request your money in an amazon giftcard.   I try to save this money for school books and christmas presents.!!

End of 2010 coupon reminder....

Three days left to use any and all December 31, 2010 coupons that expire.   Time to double check that binder and your desk to pull those all out.  I have some great winetags ($4 off cofee, $3 off dip/chips) to use and some home mailer frees.

2011 Frugal Challenge

With the impending new year upon us, I have decided that this year I will find one new way each month to save money around the house.  This can include energy efficiency, water savings, or changing the way I do something.

So, yesterday I used two 20oz plastic soda bottles and filled the bottom with marbles.   I filled about 1/3 of the bottom with the marbles I had and then filled the rest of the bottle with water.  I took the label off the outside as I was worried that the label would come off and clog my toilet.   I then put those bottles in my toilet tank and placed them in a spot that I believe they won't be able to move that easily.   I am hoping that with each flush I can use less water (a little more"green") and ultimately save on the water bill.   Dec 24th I received last month's bill and it was $44.00.  So I will see in one month what if any savings I have received from this.

I plan on this being a month adventure.  Would love to hear any ideas that you may have or things that you do to save money.  I must add I already hang to dry and laundry I can.  My husband was nice enough to hang 5 clothes lines in the basement for me last year.   I also turn off every light I can and unplug items we are not using.  The water heater was turned down last month 2 degrees and I turn down the heat during the day at least 3 degrees.

The Begining!

This is the very first post to my new blog.  This is an exciting day for me as I have finally made the step to share with everyone what I do to help my family save money on a daily basis.   Being a stay-at-home mom doesnt mean that you do not have a "job".  Your job is to not only care and teach your children but to also find ways to save money and seek out deals.   Living on one income can be done!  And I hope that I can give you tips on not only how to save money on groceries but also how to live a little more frugal week by week.   All the little savings do add up!
